Taylor Grant

Perth official and tarmac-rally tragic Taylor Grant has worn a lot of hats at CARCO Raceway: flag marshal, grid, recovery and event ops. He tells us how a flyer from the Wanneroo Flag Marshal crew in 2017 pulled him trackside, why “if you’re going to wave a flag, wave it like you mean it” is gospel, and how WA events have sharpened up—faster recoveries, better training, more new officials. We get into the calm (and the chaos) of race control, and his push to rebuild DriftWest into a proper, championship-style scene.
